【Important Security Notice】Beware of Executive Impersonation and Email Scams

Dear Colleagues and Partners, We have recently received reports of fraudulent activities where malicious actors are impersonating our General Manager, to send deceptive emails via forged Gmail accounts.

Characteristics of this scam include:

  1. Suspicious Sender Address: The emails are sent from free, non-corporate email domains (e.g., gmail.com), often using accounts made up of random alphanumeric characters.
  2. Request to Create a Group: The email instructs the recipient to create an "internal company Line work group" and explicitly emphasizes "do not invite others for the time being."
  3. Demand for QR Code: The attacker asks the recipient to send the group’s QR Code back to the suspicious email address.

We hereby solemnly declare:

  • Senior executives of our company do not use personal Gmail accounts to conduct official business or issue directives.
  • Any instructions regarding organizational structure, financial operations, or the establishment of formal communication channels will always be issued through the official company system or a corporate email domain.

Prevention Guidelines:

  • Stay Vigilant: Upon receiving such emails, please strictly verify the sender's email address first.
  • Verify the Source: If you receive requests involving work arrangements, financial transactions, or the creation of communication groups, you must verify the request by contacting the executive directly through internal communication tools or their office extension.
  • Do Not Respond: Do not reply to the email, and do not scan or provide any QR Codes.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the IT Department or the Administration Department immediately.
